The director, 47, revealed that he had not spoken to Affleck in years, despite the fact that he helped launched the Oscar-winning actor's career with roles in such films as Chasing Amy, Dogma and Mallrats. Smith also said he still had some regrets about his decision to share a story about a comment Affleck made on the set of Chasing Amy when he told the actor he would be kissing another man in the film. So I imagine, even if he did hear about the heart attack he was probably like, 'Well, I’m glad he’s alive, moving on,' said Smith. 'I’m too much trouble.
